I discovered these at Walmart the other day, and it has become a regular staple in my diet. There are 2 servings in a package. Depending on the size of the mushrooms, it equates to anywhere from 4 – 6 stuffed mushrooms. I always weigh it out each time to make sure I’m close to what the serving should be.
These are ready in less than 20 minutes. I always use my toaster oven warmed to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. For the first 12 minutes, I bake the mushrooms. The last 2 minutes, I put them on broil to make the cheese bubbly and crispy.
A serving is only 100 calories with 9 grams of protein and only 5 grams of carbs. There is a nice savory blend of cheese and flavors. Absolutely delicious! (And, I’m not even much of a fan of mushrooms.)
I was at my local small town grocery store the other day and actually found these there also. (They were a bit more expensive at $4.99 versus $3.98 at Walmart.) There are other flavors available including crab flavored & ones stuffed with parmesan cheese, artichoke, and spinach. The crab one tastes very similar to the bacon ones, but I haven’t yet tried the parmesan/artichoke/spinach mushrooms.
Final verdict…this one is a winner for me! It is nutritionally sound, filling, and feels like I’m eating something gourmet with very little work.
